I lik that. I just bought a camera with 5 ft flex to camera I use for trapping as well as at work. It is a stand alone because I didn't want to have to pull phone out to check an under ice beaver run or trap. I can check traps under ice by poking a small hole to check for catch. Cut my time in half of more. Technology is awesome.

"I have been using a drone and loving it."

Better look at the FAA regulations that went into place Dec. 22,2015. These are not to be played with. NO COMMEICIAL WORK ANYMORE!!!. Just gave a talk on this at the WCT and New York seminars. I had an FAA rep. at WCT and he confirmed what we taught. Your call but be carful.

Not to be the spoiler but if you have your phone clamped to that thing two and a half storys up how long is it going to be before you bump it and knock your phone off and drop it into the gutter therefor needing a ladder or worse yet onto the paved driveway exploding your phone?

The thing that the phone mounts to is very soild...rubber grips and i tighten it down fairly tight...also there are set screws to tighten to hold the whole aparatus on the painters pole

The biggest problem with that thing other than the fact that you eventually you're going to knock your phone off is that you really have no idea what you're taking a picture of until you get it down.

If you took something like that wohler camera that Alan sells amd stap that to your pole at least you could hold your phone in your hand and see in real time what you're actually looking at and if you wanted to take a picture or video it's just the push of a button

Im confident with this tool...it is a very stable device that does not slip...i can put phone in video and run the length of the gutter or turn it sideways to get the right angle

Problem with being able to see on my phone from another camera would be holding the pole when extended while at the same time trying to look at a phone...

Always naysayers somewhere

Plus i can take multiple pictures with click of a button and then slide thru them once i get it down

Awesome!

I'm guessing I'd have to get a new phone to use with it, though. That clamp just didn't look like it would hold my flip phone.
