ADC pod casts - 12/23/16 02:00 PM

I am going to state doing ADC and wildlife control podcast again on my Rednecks Pride Outdoors, Some folks have been asking me to do the shows again geared to the industry. If any one has a show subject that they would like to do either as my guest or would like to hear someone on a subject please let me know.

I would love it if you started a podcast. I'm looking for wisdom from the sages of the industry. Tricks and tips that one might not learn in a book or seminar, but you have found to work. Also I think it would be great to hear about some of the devices that you or others have invented/fabricated to address specific nw issues.

Bird barrier has a sparrow trap called the trap door.I believe that it is going to be a good one . The funnel traps seem to work poorly or not at all for removing birds quickly from big box stores. We do a lot of bird removal. I find that there is very little info shared about this important subject. Plus I think that it would be a great idea if Mr. Jones would spend his time and money tinkering with traps rather than doing it myself.

Thanks Bob

I am the worst speaker on the planet.I wouldn't dream of pod casting. What you do with ease simply isn't in my wheel house. I don't have a strong knowledge base for bird removal.
In our case a big boss has showed up an informs the store manager that the birds half to go . ( or is about to show up ). In both cases they need the bird gone now.
Our wildlife specialist give sparrows lots of credit for smarts + being highly visual.
I believe that our bird guys are for the most part a nutty bunch. They don't look directly at the birds . They use their selection of bird calls. They won't install a mist net if the bird can see them. They will dress up like a store regular complete with shopping cart.
In my case I show up in uniform ,the bird co operates and I shoot it or I don't.
Bird work is important and interesting. I would enjoy hearing the tricks of the trade from experienced people. But that would not include me .

Tr will sparrows quickly approach the trap door trap. I am sure all bird traps work, but most take a regiment of pre baiting and a generous time frame. In a big box store the birds half to go promptly. I thought the trap door might become a useful tool in the box.
It does not look like a trap + because the bird will be out of sight food and water could be installed in the catch chamber. This would allow extended check times.
I'm pretty sure the boss is going to buy a few of these traps for me to play with. He just doesn't know it yet.

I would love to hear how people charge for ADC work. I am considering doing it part time and need advice. I have charged $50 for set up and $25 per animal but some say I am undercutting myself. I just really don't know and would like to hear from others in the business. I live in a rural area so most ppl know how to get rid of animals just don't wanna take the time to do it.

I agree. If you google roof rats, Memphis shows up first in the search bar.
