Saw on the news where Chicago, (in one of their more lucid moments), is dumping dry ice down Rat holes and plugging them up. Supposedly the Dry Ice evaporates, back to CO2, and kills them off. Seems like it should work on any burrowing Varmint.

I had a hard time sealing off every hole using the big gas bombs...seeing that it's 97 degrees here right now, I don't think I could pack enough dry ice..after rockchuck here...

Stuff keeps really well in a cooler, I can see your problem. Might be enough to run them out for a clean shot? Lot's safer than toxic smoke bombs.

Should work well for a Varmint digging under Decks, Patios etc.
I read that Chicago had a reduction of rats by 60% in the areas they have been using dry ice and that it works pretty good but now Chicago has been getting a lot of complaints about the dry ice from people upset about killing the rats and has now started a non-lethal sterilization bait to see how effective it. Got to stop those rats from knocking each other up now.

Killed
But, apparently the EPA made them stop.
