MB 650 Pan Adjustment

This is my 2nd yr for trapping and I bought a dozen MB 650s. I am trying to level the pans and have run into a problem. The pans are close to level but I wanted to adjust them a little bit more. I put a screwdriver under the back of the pan and bent the pan down on 2 traps. Now when I set the trap it fires immediately and won't stay set. I think I may have bent the rod a little and now the latch is a hair low cussing it to fire right away.

I guess I will try to bend the rod back up and if that doesn't work I may have to buy 2 more rods.

How do the rest of you level the pans on your 650s?
