Fox squirrels

What’s the best bait to get fox squirrels in a cage trap? I’d like to know what y’all think. I’ve been trying whole corn with no luck.

When it comes to squirrels doesn't matter red, grey, flyers etc (rodents) I use a paste bait that is smeared on different areas of the trap and treadle. They will lick it clean off to the treadle, and for a little more encouragement for them to trip the trap. I hang a bait stick with the same bait, just above the treadle.

Orange crackers in back (thanks to travis wolford on this), peanut butter line from back of trap to out in front and spray down trap with mist of imitation almond extract and water...caught many many squirrels this way
