Excluding mobile home - 05/22/18 04:22 AM

I have installed wire mesh barriers around entire mobile homes before, but there was treated lumber framing. I need to do one now, but it has vinyl skirting with a vinyl channel at ground level. What is the best way to create something to fasten the wire to? Build a treated lumber frame?

The vinyl doesn't keep critters out?

To hold wire down I often use j-spikes driven into the ground...with the J hooked onto the bottom of the wire. The wire stiffness determines how far apart the spikes go

What are you trying to keep out?

They dug under the channel that lays on the ground and accepts the skirting. Raccoons. Ive even had red squirrels do it in the past (dig under skirting). Very sandy soil. I'm confident in my wire mesh barriers, just going to have to build something to attach it to.

If coons want to get in, they will. They'll tear through a roof. Go through siding, etc.
