Increase in kit skunks/raccoon calls

All in rural areas. My thought is coyotes are getting mamma while she's out looking for food. What's your thoughts

Yep but...distemper is high here...lots of calls from customers of coon, skunks seen walking/stumbling during daytime hours....not good.

Have had a lot of distemper 'zombie' raccoon and skunk calls since last fall. Raccoon calls are down but skunks surprisingly are up quite a bit (42 skunks taken in the past 3 days).
