Establish and Maintain a healthy relationship with your local Wildlife and Fisheries Agents !! Don’t wait for them to yell HEEL!

Get Very Familiar with the laws; if you don’t agree with a law, do your part to get it changed, but be sure you ollow it until it is changed.

Get to know your target critters.

Work Hard, Be Honest, and don’t quit until you have solved their problem, and you’ll have most of the ingredients needed for success no matter what state you’re in.

**************

I actually got a good laugh just now when I said what I did about heeling, and I needed that. One day I’ll be laughing about everything now, but for the time being, it’s still to be taken seriously. A very influential mentor of mine named Billy who has been a Marine Drill Sgt, Game Warden, and College Professor in his lifetime once said “____ _______ __, Jeff, HEEL!”

I got the point. It’s a powerful word.

Good luck Nathan

I agree with everything Aix sponsa had to say.

Below are links to some of the information I found on the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation web-site- https://www.wildlifedepartment.com/. I don’t know if the information is still current; contact one of your county game wardens with your questions.

The information is current.
I got my license last January. It took maybe a few weeks to study sufficiently.
I recommend getting the SCGP asap. I meant to do it last year and failed. So set it up as soon as you can. Learning about bees and bats will keep you busy all year when your not doing nuisance fur bearers.

If you have any questions let me know.
Good luck!
