Nuisance muskrat trapping in Wi? - 09/28/18 02:18 AM

This link seems to indicate a landowner or their agent can trap nuisance muskrat out of season:
http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/wildlifehabitat/documents/nuswlguide.pdf
BUT, when I read the pamphlet of Wi Trapping Regs that you get when buying a trapping license, muskrats don't seem to be listed as 1 of the allowable nuisance animals that can be trapped.

Anyone else find this conflicting/confusing?

yes, you may trap muskrats out of season as nuisance animals. It's actually in the document you have linked there, starrts at the very bottom of page 2, take a closer look and you will see it.

I knew it is in the document I had linked. I'm saying it's strange that the trapping regs given out at retailers when ya buy your license list what can be nuisance trapped, and muskrats isn't on the list. Possibly a DNR oversight in the regs. Thanks for claryfing.
