How many of you get doubles in the same trap? I have this with birds most frequent, but also with raccoons. I think 4 turkeys in the same non repeating live trap has been the most in one catch for me. although I have had 3-4 quail as well several times.

I got my first double couple weeks ago. Had traps out for woodchucks. caught 4 kit coons instead one night. Caught 2 kit raccoons in a aac proline raccoon size trap together then caught their brother and sister, one in baited trap and the other in a Comstock positive set under the shed the woodchuck had been visiting. Was quite surprised showing up that morning for sure. Sure they were all looking at each other saying what did we get ourselves into gang

Seem to get double at least once a year. Skunks and chucks multiple times, raccoons once, squirrels once. All babies except for the squirrels.

Three skunks in the same trap at the same time.

We get them. most of the time it will be the young any where from little to 6 moths old. A few times a year we will get 2 adults but that is mostly during their breeding season> My guess is the male is chasing the female and they both just happen to go in at the same time.

We love trapping skunks. They are the mellowist animal we trap. You're more likely to get an angry woodchuck than an angry skunk.

Skunks are calm as adults, but young ones 4 months up to a year can be quick to spray depending on what was going on around them before you get there. My friend called me and said he had caught a bunch of skunk in a trap and one outside the trap trying to get in. we all know what that means. I get there to turn them loose and there is at least 4 or more in the trap crawling all over each other. all looked young, and the one outside was a young one. I asked my buddy wheres mom? he said must have been the big one I saw over there . I bend down to grab the one out side and bam I get hit from inside the trap!!!! I put a tarp on the cage, grab the little one outside, thinking man that was a lot of juice from a little one. walk to the back of the property open the trap and the first one out is a BIG skunk Followed by a bunch of little ones LOL
