Gonna build a tumbler. I have a question on grit. What size grit do I need? Assuming the finer the better.

Not so much. One problem with tumbling is the flash hole gets plugged up with the media, so a little coarser is better, and I always decap AFTER tumbling so the pin will clear the hole at the same time. They sell a liquid or powder chemical cleaner that you can put on the media to make it go faster, especially if the brass is extra cruddy.

60/40 grit works best.
