I just came back from Dr's with a 5MM stone, I asked the same question, he said lemon would help to keep from getting them, but will not make them desolve. A 5mm stone is right on the line to pass, anything bigger will not go through. I'm scheduled to have mine smashed tomorrow morning, if the everything passes then they will take the stent out in a week. Good Luck Clint

good luck logman! I feel your pain man!

I have been taking Renavive and a liquid called Stone Breaker(chanca peidra).

mine are slowly moving down the tube towards the bladder. I am trying everything I can to keep from having the procedure mine has recommended which is going in and lasering them and grabbing them and bringing them out.

have to get a cat scan next week to see exactly where and what we are dealing with.

I'vee had 2 in the last 3 years, first one took 2 days to pass and the other passed right when I was giving my pee sample in the er. They are a different kind of pain and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Re: kidney stones - 06/13/13 02:36 AM

I passed a kidney stone one time and it was one of the most painful things i have ever had to happen to me. I was in my 40's when it happened. I am 6 foot tall weigh 285 lbs. I had the wife take me to the ER they would not give me any medication of anything until they had some idea as to what was wrong with me. So while i was waiting on the test results to come back I was either dry heaven over the toilet, laying across the examining table in one of may positions tring to get some kind of relief and crying like a baby the whole time. It had even crossed my mind to hold a nurse hostage until they give me some sort of pain killer i was hurting so bad. About 3 hours later they give me something for pain so that they could do some kind of scan to see what was going on which gave me alot of relief. But after that they found out i was passing a kidney stone and sent me back home. After about another 10 hours i passed it. Most painful experience i ever had. I quiver just at the thought of that happening again. I went back to see my doctor after that happened and he said that they had taken some sort of survey from women who had given birth and passed kidney stones and the women said that passing a kidney stone was far more painful than given birth.

My nurse said she'd rather have a baby before another stone. I try to drink more water and less pop. That all makes me run to the potty more than I can count.

Patch, kidney stones come in 4 types. I will post the link on homeopathic remedies, but am prefacing this so you have that information.

Calcium Stones

Calcium stones are the most common type of kidney stone. They are usually in the form of calcium oxalate, though they can be in the form of calcium phosphate.
Struvite Stones

Struvite stones are most likely to accompany an infection.
Uric Acid Stones

Uric acid stones can be a result of chronic dehydration. Uric acid is also a cause of gout. High protein diets can also be connected to uric acid stones.
Cystine Stones

Cystine stones are connected to a hereditary disorder.

X2.

If you have really bad kidny stone problems, put a little lemon in your water.
