Castor can be used to various degrees in a formula. Use as a dominate odor in a formula, a secondary presence or a very slight but subtle presence.. Make batches of all these degrees and test for your results. There can be significant differences in animal reaction.
Just remember in building the initial batch if small at first, you cannot just double the castor measured amount when you want to do a double batch of lure. Castor can overwhelm a product quickly if you don't know this little fact. Several ingredients will act similarly when attempting to reproduce larger volumes.
That castor odor can go from a subtle trace odor from the first formula batch where you wanted it to be, to a robust castor presence real fast when mature. Learn to work with powder and wet castor as there are vast differences in the odor outcome when using either one in equal volumes.

a bit in most glands is good
use alone at a mouse hole or compass set or flat set or rub set too.
