Cheese as bait?

Cheese as bait? - 08/30/20 11:51 PM

If I threw a few cubes of cheese down a dirt hole set or if I used them in another set what kinda reaction would you get? I have heard linburger and blue cheese is attractive to a variety of furbearers. Would almost any cheese work well? Just preferably smellier cheeses?

I added linburger cheese to a bait I was developing. Didn't add much to the attractiveness of the bait that I could tell but it sure gave a pasty texture. Seems it probably has a fair attraction to k-9s but it didn't seem to be a top shelf ingredient to me.

Cheese oil is used in many lure/bait recipes.
Stronger cheeses work best.
