Anyone from the southern states finding any morels yet?

Just a little Don...right now I'm finishing up boiling down Maple syrup.Plus I now of some folks finding them down in Alabama and Georgia.

that would be great to find them this time of year. i hope we have another season like last year.

Hey jeremy,I found some in my freezer yesterday.

I now have several bloodroot plants blooming. I have never seen this in my life. Way to early.

LOL....i still have about 3/4# dried. but fresh are so much better.

Nice! Those are some big boys. Ive only found a few that size. Im always out to early and when I find them I cant wait and I pic them. Unless they are realy small.

Anybody find any yet- these warm temps should soon get em popping!

Went out to a few early spots over the weekend and nothing here.

showers predicted today should help em push through-lilacs almost blooming here

almost too hot for em.....80 degree temps could burn them up.


i havn't found any yet.

I'll be taking a walk this weekend.

ground temps are good- had rain- more sun coming-there will be morels!

Not yet, could be any day.

I found 29 morels and my girlfriend found 6 this evening in Champaign County, Ohio close to Mechanicsburg.

Most were darks. Some were almost too old.

We were only out for about an hour. This is the earliest I ever remember finding morels.

Found some here in SW VA friday. A good two weeks early.

Tim,we have found a few over here. CJ found a couple dozen over the weekend. Iam hoping to be able to get to a couple spots Today. Have to have the wife drive me though so may not happen. LOL
