ever find so much seng, you started shaking??

ive hunted ginseng for a very very long time.......im 48 years old.......found my first when I was 9 years old...................today,,,,i found the biggest patch ive ever found in my life....it was everywere,,,,,and it was nice, big seng.....I had to stop tomake sure I was actually seeing what I was seeing.....I started shaking guys...never have had that happen before.

I didn't Kenny.......I keep my phone in the truck because I worry about breaking it in the timber.......I carried a flip phone for years until it finally quit me........now I have to carry a smarty phone because they said don't make flip phones anymore. one of them was a 5 pronger

Them thar is some real nice roots, young man. The only reason I ever started shaking because of Seng is because I just about dug myself sick a couple times. Got to darn hot digging. I have had a couple 10 pound days in my life.My son had a 12 pound day. I haven had lots of 4 to 6 pound days. More than I could even remember. I remember one of my best digs ever, came in about a 2 hour long dig. I remember one day . Linda and I had just got through eating what we called supper. I told her I was going down the road a small ways and dig some Seng. I only drove a couple miles from the house.
The interesting part of this Ginseng story is, it was a very small woods and it was always good for 6 to 8 ounces of green Seng. I dug my normal amount and was going up a small hill and was going to a spot that every now and then would produce a couple nice 4 prong plants. These were always nice knee high plants . Well the spot produced it's normal 2 big ole plants and all across the top of this ridge it also produced another 4 pounds of some big ole plants that was all turning the beautiful golden yellow colored leaves and each plant had a nice red apple right in the middle of the plant. It was a sight that few men get to see in this world. Unless your a Ginseng hunter, you just can't see the picture that I have in my mind.
Come on all you Seng hunters , I know each and every one of you must have your own story to tell.
I just followed fox kid on his trip, as did every one else that knows what Seng is. When you tell your story, if you can make it as color full as you can it will make it more interesting. If we can't keep enough stories going, I bet me and the kid can tell enough to make it interesting.

Was walking a wooded creek looking for Solomon seal, Finding some of the bigger plants. I walked around some bushes to find Solomon seal taller then me. I am 6,2 and I wonder how old they were. I plant all the berries I find. I have looked for ginseng for over 40 years and have not found any up here. I did talk to some this year that have found some but not much.

I plantd a quarter pound of seed about five years ago. I have not looked at that spot as my son sold the property. I planted it in Nov before deer season. Maybe the mice eat the seeds, not sure.
