skunk fur looks clipped

I caught a skunk today that has an area on its back about 3 inches in diameter with shorter hair. It looks like maybe the guard hair is missing in this area. The underfur looks fine. What causes this and is it worth selling? One of the stripes is partially in this area. I skinned it and its in the freezer, but not sure if its worth putting up.

For the most part skunks are late primers. And prime skunks Is what the industry wants, so any blemishes are going to down grade that skunk.

I will take a pic when I put up fur next month.
