Two of my best catches today in the share - a Horned Grebe with a yellow perch minnow and a Meadow Vole eating bird seed in my brush pile.

That takes more patience than hunting- really nice
great photos, however the bottom picture is not a meadow vole....meadow voles have a short nose and a short tail. the critter you have is in the genus rattus, but i cant say which species. they all look alike to me

I think that's a mouse not a vole, voles tend to be more stocky and less of a pointed head.

Thank you to all for the compliments and ID responses.
Those small rodents do all very much look alike. After review, I agree that this is a mouse species.

Jonathan you are keeping your followers additted with you work. But the second picture even though it was in a meadow it is not a meadow vole.
The long bare tail and the pointed nose is the throw back. Judging by seed size besides the vermin it was small and Norway rats don't have that pelage when they are young so it is leading toward a house mouse, Mus domesticus
