I see alot of them in the city. They will become more popular with nobody affording gas. Also electric skateboards, scooters. Yesterday I saw a grown man riding a 16" bicycle on the rims.......no tires. No I'm not kidding.
Here's my E-bike sit up for hunting. They are a game changer you can even ride right by deer and they just stand there and watch you with out running off. No more long walks getting hot and sweaty before the hunt.
One of my bait customers has one set up for hunting and fishing, has baskets, straps and stuff to hold everything. He uses it on the barrier beach here to go surf fishing, drops the air down in the tires and can drive in the sand 6 miles to the inlet and back on a charge, says he can go up to 60 miles on a charge on hard dirt roads and trails....hauls it on a bike carrier on his pickup....
What kind of speed do you get? How about power? Is it necessary to pedal to start moving?
A guy on one tried to run me down going deer hunting. On a particular farm I have exclusive permission and watch the farm for landowners who are there only from the first of June to the end of September. Early one morning during deer gun season, I was walking across a cut hayfield towards the woods. It was very dark with no moonlight, but I saw something moving. Thought it was a deer and walked on. A few minutes later thought I heard something so I looked back. Whatever had adjusted its course and was now silently bearing down on me at a fast rate. I had a small green light pointed at the ground for walking. I switched to bright white and shined it on the whatever. Jumped out of the way just in time when I saw a guy on a bicycle coming right at me. He was laughing. No lights or reflectors on the bike. He had a gun and hunting gear. I yelled at him and he made a loop back to the left. With the light now on bright white I saw another bicycle hunter waiting for him. They went on their way.

The bikes look interesting.
did you put a warning shot across the bow to let him know he wasn't funny???

#1 My bike will top out at 19 MPH. And go about 25-26 mile per charge. #2 It's got more power then you need. #3 No you can just use the throttle from the start or you can use the 5 modes of pedal assist to help save some battery.
When it's really cold out it does zap the battery to about 1/2 of it's charge, but you can make a insulated wrap that velcro around the battery with pockets to hold hand warmers that help a lot.
Mine is a Rad Rover. The newer models are a little more expensive than what I got but have more power and get better mileage per charge. I had a bike geek fool around with the onboard computer and now it can go up to about 26-28 mph. I haven't checked it out scientifically but ever since he did some fine tuning I think I'm getting more miles per charge too.
ANd I hardly ever peddle...but that would get you much better mileage.
Should mention that if you served your country that will get you a discount with Rad.
Take mine for local fishing. No one knows where I am. Can hide it easy. My wife and I use ours while camping with our motorhome Intead of disconnecting. 22 mph top speed and 30 mile range with little peddle power. Can get 22 miles on electric only. RAD power bike. May use it for spring turkey hunting next year. Love the big hunting bikes with trailer but way to much money. Love it but heavy. Batteries have to come out for wife to load it. Don LaFountain.
