Most dogs on the trap line I would think are working dogs like mine maybe not all dog's. She is not there to bark at the animals in the traps unless I need her to she is there to work just like when I pull up to a farm gate and there is 60 head of 400lb steers standing there and I need them all moved so I can get through the gate. If I put her to harassing (barking) at a bobcat to get its attention off of me so I can get the catch pole on it.
No matter where you go there you are.

I won't allow her to bite, she will get punished if she tries, I don't want any damage and there is no need for anything more than barking Lol, I always chuckle when the dog sniffs the coyote and it just lays there like, I don't see no dog, if I hide maybe they won't see me

A 30+ lb. coon for our latitude, that's a piggie. I haven't picked up any dinks yet this week, so far my average (small sample) is 21 pounds. We'll see if that holds...

Did he have a full tail...? Sometimes those old battle worn boars have parts of their tails gone. And people think all the animals live together like in Bambi...

Got a big adult male in a flat set today, it looks like he got caught when it started snowing after supper last night. I knew the two flat sets would work, he had dropped turds on that spot few weeks ago. It was able to cover blend sets perfectly because high water this year deposited pieces of hay in a 2" layer, so easy to blend set. Two different brands if gland lure used, the set that caught him had a clump of dirt as a backing, from digging my trap bed, other flat set can only be found by seeing the turd I used for a foot guide, he might have been by himself, the snow didn't show tracks

The one female on atv is the one we chased down when it pulled the long stake after a rain, the dog helped me get that one that could have gotten away, dogs are a good help, never even considered someone would think it's a bad thing, doesn't make sense to me Ditto.

I caught another big male coyote today, snared him in a trail crossing a section line fence, where it meets a dredge ditch. There is usually not much to hide a snare in, on the downed fence. I set snare couple weeks ago, installed some big hemp weeds to block the open area next to the trail, like making a weed fence to try to convince them to stay on the trail. I set one there every year, there's usually not much to hide the snare, this spot and other wide open sets get hit on dark nights usually, I noticed years ago they will hit those snares on dark nights, full moon last night, but heavy clouds Nice big male with good belly fur

Tac.20- I'm glad you're picking up some decent yotes! I got all those yote skulls I bought from you cleaned up but most of the teeth fell out from my boiling and haven't glued them back in yet. Perhaps a later winter project. I'm going to paint a few either American flag or Rebel battle flag on them and try selling them on ebay. Maybe those pc Calis won't let the Rebel flag ones be sold on their site anymore, don't know. We'll see how it works out...
