So are beaver worth anything yet or is it something a guy does just for fun? There are plenty of beaver here but there's a better chance of catching an otter, which is still protected.

With gas at 1.34 a gallon I will make money in these since I only go 15 miles round trip. Those are black.

I have gotten 13 in the past 5 days and only 3 brown. If I move out away from this area my brown count goes up. This area has always had majority black.
Wish I had more time to trap....

seems to me Zander in N.J. buys beaver by the pound..hatters? Mine would probably all grade hatters. Has anybody been selling pelts by the pound and how has it worked out for you?
