Iím almost certain he was measuring from leg hole to leg hole, but I could be wrong.

Yes some measured smaller than what I had. BUT I will say, when I measured and it was close I threw it in the size up pile. Overall I think it was 5 skins he called XL that I put in the 2X pile

I've seen them measured each way by fur buyers. An experienced beaver buyer can look at how you stretched your beaver and immediately see which measuring technique will work to his benefit.

Gerry and I went 1 for 3 today, real nice Tug Hill otter.


Pat, Any evidence of singe on that otter ? I put one up yesterday, couldnít see any sign of singe.

Pat, yeah, even though temps have been mild we have had very few bright sunny days. But I always get concerned about singe this time of year, since our otter season is open until 4/7. Iím not targeting them, but often catch them in my beaver sets.
