They’re getting one of the best coaches in the country, I guess a coach from the little big12 will have to show you guys how to do it.

Iowa State isn’t doing too bad with the new coach they have coming in. Hope he stays longer than he did at Washington State.

It makes me nervous that they didn’t get a coach with some more experience.

I’m confused. Are we talking about the same coach? Jimmy Rogers?? He was at South Dakota State for over a decade. He won a national championship at SD State. When he moved to Washington State a year ago, lots of players followed him.

How much more experience do you want?

I would have preferred a little more experience in a major conference, after Greg McDermott in basketball I’m a little nervous.

Fair enough. Hopefully you and all the other Cyclone fans will give him a chance. I know he was doing a good job at WSU until Friday afternoon when he bailed on the entire team and all the loyal Cougar fans.

Especially since everyone was excited to be going to a bowl game, again.

Note - I know nothing about the Greg McDermott situation. For the most part, I don’t follow midwest sports teams on the college level.

He came from the university of northern iowa and ended up at creighton.

I hope he is a good coach, he better be a good recruiter too.

When he left SD State to go to WSU, he brought his entire coaching staff and about 30 players (many of them starters). If he does the same thing this time, he will have a good base to start from.

How many Iowa State players are going to follow their coach to Penn State?
