Got accepted into an MFA low residency, graduate writing program, known as Stonecoast, at the University of Southern Maine. "Low-residency" means I only have to show up in person for about ten days, twice a year.
WHY? Most of my family wanted to know. To give me something more to do in retirement, maybe.
Anyone worried that I may have lost my liberal zeal recently should have no fear. At an East Coast liberal arts school, I'm sure to get my brain-washing renewed.

Congrats, good thing you don't have to attend more regular, that could add up and you just might have to write something worth selling to actually pay for all that fuel !!

Flying to Maine twice a year and not going to Bates, Bowdoin or Colby? My wife graduated summa cum laude from the Maine system in Machias. She's as conservative as you are liberal.
