I live in Augusta County Virginia and work in West Virginia, so I am lucky to trap in both states. Started trapping in high school but because of career circumstances had to give it up for 20 plus years. I've been back at it since 12/07 and love it as much as when I was young. My grandfather (an avid coonhunter in his day) always talked about the red fox as being the smartest critter, so I grew up considering red fox as being the top prize. Today I really like getting after all the furbearers but the K-9's are my favorite. I have an eleven year old boy who is really taking to trapping and is a fast learner. I look forward to the day that he starts teaching "the old man" some tricks.
