If you look above the snare you can see a clear v between the tree roots and a log where they were coming to land.
Here the catches have cleared the debris that identified the trail they used coming to land.
Set a 330 today at this spot. The water was too deep here for the trap to be where I wanted it so I shoved a stick in the bank on an angle so the trap would rest on it at the level I wanted it.
Here I wire off to the tree up high and use another stick to position the snare.
18 beaver tails in good condition with very minimal, slight damage on a couple. Most tails came off of blanket and super blanket beaver. I can take pictures and send to a cell phone number if interested.

i am searching for a photo that was posted on here or elsewhere about 15 years ago.
I saved the photo to my computer, but the computer crashed long ago. Maybe someone saved the photo and still has it.
Anyway, the photo was taken after some gray wolves had been released into a western area that had been populated with deer and elk. The photo shows a masked hunter / trapper in a mountain winter hunting camp holding a rifle. There is part of a wall tent in the image. Also as the guests of honor are 6-8 wolves hanging from a cross pole or stringer of some construction. There were comments about SSS, etc.
If anyone finds this photo, please add it in a response here.
First to Paul for having this plac for all of us to gather. Such a wide diverse group of talented individuals. We but heads and act like children at times but I dont think there is a member that. Would not stand up and help out if any was in need.
Its the most talented and rare group I've ever seen and im thankful and proud to be able to be a part of it rmeven though I dont bring much to the table .
Thanks to all the members that make this place so unique and traffic.
If this is typed poorly please excuse its a rougher ms day.
The positive part is being able to see things im thankfull for and how insignificant a lot of the things drama actually is.
