Welcome to the forum. First check with your agency that covers wildlife regulations. There are state regulations and county or town ordinances that may cover trapping regulations.
These regulations should cover what animals can be lawfully trapped and what traps are legal. You can check with your local game warden for help also.
You might find copies of hunting and trapping regulations at any store that sells hunting supplies.
Most states have regulations covering wildlife doing damage to crops, livestock where permits can be issued to trap wildlife such as groundhogs out of season. This will include any legal type trap either cage, foothold or bodygrip.
On each forum you will see different sponsors such as Minnesota Trapline, F&T and others that you can research online for different traps. These companies sell different products that will suit your needs. Also check with your state trapping association, l’m sure there are members near you that could help with hands on instruction.
Best of luck

I have two powerful weed eaters so the boys can get additional work. Often folks dont mind riding a mower and cutting their grass but dont want to weed eat the ditch or fence lines. Its usually thick heavy tall pasture grass no and weeds not grass along the house or mail box post so low power weed eaters dont cut it ( went down that route at first) I think the boys made a few thousand last year on weed eating only jobs.

The good is they have large fuel tanks run a long time and really cut tall stuff down fast. Draw back is thay are heavy and loud. For a typical home owner they are almost to much. When weed eating at their typical yard jobs in town just knowing down grass around the house I find myself running them at half to 3/4 throttle so they dont get away from me and eat final siding for example.

STrickland/Chamzet fight was worthless. I would have gave the edge to Chamzet. Now the fight before them with the 2 asians was a great fight. They beat the crap out of one another.

At some of our travel ball tournaments, I have noticed some concession stands take the pickle juice from the large pickle jars, put it in the small plastic containers (about a shot size), freeze them, and sell them for $1.

Been awhile since I studied 2nd and 3rd causes, but if memory serves me correctly Plato reasoned that in order for those causes to happen, then there would have to be a 1st cause or mover. Later Aristotle which was a student of Plato reasoned that the first mover was a mover that didn't move. Leaning toward the understanding that that mover was God.
Then came Aristotle's student Alexander the Great who reasoned that when we have problems that we can't understand or untangle then go to the Gordian Knot scene and simply take a short cut and whack the problem in half until we find a new end to start with. Out of which comes the idea that cheaters in the end don't win, lol.

And by the way much of the above was in the 400 years of silence between the Testaments so don't be surprised if that beautiful Helen from a thousand years before isn't brought into the time frame. Since we Baptists aren't allowed to poke around in the Apocrypha you never heard this from me, lol.

Over the year have you guys seen a cycle of dry periods? Or has this happening over a long period of time.
It has been a few year since 10$rats.
Development or agriculture have any impact?

After WA banned conventional trapping methods, my country was wet!
My brother in law and myself went into business in 2003.
Drainage districts and road departments were the main target.
We get a lot of rain, and the habitat is not there like it used to be. Myself I attribute most of that to the control of beaver, the removal of the dams and the cleaning of the channels.
So to say, I did some of it to myself.

Agriculture also has a large impact in whatcom country.
The smaller berry farmer don’t always follow Best Management Practices.
Everyone draining and tilling land because of the value.

So was that a God thing? or just some random act of vengeance that Pete, along with the rest have had to endure for this long period of time?

For some reason Oregon makes some good grass.
Christmas valley hay is or “was” highly desirable.

We would drive down every fall to silver falls seed to purchase cover crop in the “old” days.

One time I was with a houndsman and his dogs bated a lion nd followed it to a rock shelf overhang cave. We wanted to go home and he had one hound that was about 8’ baying the lion and wouldn’t quit. I found a piece of fence wire and made a hook and crawled to hook the dogs collar and drag it out. When I got herewhere I could sort of see the dog I took a photo with my phone. I snapped a flash photo and dragged the dog out. When I looked at the photo there are 4 pairs of eyes glowing, the lion had 3 cubs in there as well!
