The other day I visited the white oak tree that I get my annual acorns from. It looks to be a bumper crop. I'll probably be busy picking in 3 weeks.

Thank you. Every bit of it was a good time from shooting the footage (literally), making the song and mixing the video together.

If you were closer you'd be welcome to hunt bobwhites on my place. I don't bird hunt and see quail everyday. Saw probably 6 pair yesterday and 2 of those had their young with them...about 3/4 grown. The amount of whistling after daybreak is impressive.

I would have to agree with Dale on the trap. With last pictures it looks like the spring or springs were not hand forged. If they were it was a very nice job done. There were some very good black smiths in the day. Looking at the rest of the trap would lean towards it being hand forged though.

Cool. I put the rig together to see how it would go and one of the lugs broke off in the snug position, so I am stuck with the 8ga whether I would have liked it or not. I like it based upon what loosegoose said.Thank you for your support.

Yep deer are tough, I cut meat at a locker plant in high school.
Seen alot of different injuries of sort, arrows head, horns, peices of tree and barb wire in deer.

We got a 3 legged deer running around in town now, does pretty good to.
It's amazing what they can over come, and still survive.

I played with those structural screws.

My hang up with them was stressing them putting one in and having it break during a catch.

I twisted a couple heads off just getting them in.

They make big 1/2” lag bolts all the way up to 20”-24” long I believe.

A friend tried them with a cordless impact.

They’re expensive but showed lots of promise.

Is Hydrogen a byproduct of nuclear energy production? That would be efficient as heck to harvest that hydrogen and turn it into more power.

Rumor has it a couple of forklift companies are working on hydrogen-powered equipment. I think that’s a little crazy, but seems to be a very clean and abundant energy source.

You would have to sacrifice some electricity to produce hydrogen. They use electrolysis to split water for hydrogen.
