there are a few guys on here that sit and pull when fleshing they seem to like it and it works very well for them. check the archives as I think there is a thread in there that was going last fall/winter if you do not get a response from one of the sitters on this post you could get a screen name from the archive post and p.m. them. ty
My daddy named me Ty, and I have been explaining to everyone since then that my first name has only 2 letters.

Fleshing anything is not "easy." Sitting down is not in that formula of evidence from my experience. Standing up is all that I am aware of in that caper. In terms of ergonomics, it all depends, no matter age, the decision to push or pull on the beam to maximize one's comfort zone.
If age and arthritis may interfere with standing at a vertical or horizontal beam, skin your pelts and let the fur buyer finish that chore. The loss of the few extra dollars going that route, if available, solves the puzzle if discomfort crawls over old bones that do not work as well as they use to.
The path for options in that regard spells and leaves its footprint on purpose.
Just a thought from an old fart who is not far away from entertaining that alternative himself. It might be in the schedule this fall for me.
