ooofta! You got me hungry! I remember when "shore lunch" first came out, it was by far the best batter I'd ever had.

Watarrat-that pic looks like the Bay and brings back memories. During my stint in the bay we ate salmon three meals a day for three-four weeks. You start with dinner-baked or fried salmon and rice. The next morning was the left over salmon and rice mixed with ONE egg and fried. Lunch was breakfast smeared on bread. Repeat cycle...X30. I am not exaggerating.
When I started fishing with this guy I was not really a big fan of salmon, but when one is starving it kind of grows on you. Now I love the stuff.
The point being when we were lucky enough to get a King the crew celebrated.
(Here we are putting in 2-3 hundred thousand pounds and the guy wouldn't spring for a steak or chop from the tender, it was insanity)
Thanks for bringing back the memories.

Kusko...it's 'ufda' and yes there is something about a succulent gill fillet that is hard to beat! I think it's one of those, "I don't have it here..." things. While back in Wisconsin last time I took my wife out for a walleye fish fry. Man was that good! She couldn't fully appreciate it being from Washington originally, but I made up for it. A nice slab of fresh dark rye bread and 'slaw, tasty!

I've been eating so many late ice bluegills my bathroom's starting to smell like an otter toilet. Shouldn't that be ...'late ice bream...' to a Coona$$?

I don't see a trap so I'm guessing you've taken up 'Marten Whispering'. Great photo!
