is it to late to pick nettles for eating?


don't worry over the smart ones. catch the dumb ones, they pay the same.

i can do it because i dont know that i cant.

I would say it is probably to late to pick Nettle. You want the nice young tender tops from what I have heard. Have never eaten any myself and probably never will. I do like Poke greens, but we only pick them in the spring when they are nice and tender.

when you say nettles what kind are you talking about...cause I could never imagian eating horse nettles only spraying it...LOL

yes jeremy......it's too late.

i guess if you boiled and boiled them you might be able to eat them.....lol.


but the young shoots are the best.

about 25 years ago we used to dig it for the market.........the roots were used in shampoos................no market now that i know of.
