Tonight, we're having some lobster tails and a garlic and tortellini soup, but first, as an appetizer with our champagne, we're having a little tip of the hat to Nessy ...

CRABBIES!!! I made my own take on them tonight. Here they are ...

I didn't like the canned crab available here, so I steamed a king crab leg and chunked up the meat. I used butter, cheese, mayo and garlic - but I added some Old Bay seasoning and a squeeze of lemon juice and garnished with a tiny bit of dill. We had a toast to you, Nessy!

What's on your table tonight? I hope you're all warm and safe and enjoying a nice supper! grin

Just got back from doing a 3-day gun show. So tired about all I can manage is a frozen pizza. The Crabbies look great!

Great minds think alike I see. Haha I made up those crabbies today using ol nessies recipe. He made it sound simple enough for a non cooking dude like me to be able to build em so I gave it a whirl. Turned out ok despite my over doing the garlic. Your version sounds pretty good Patrice.

You must have some will power, to be able to open up a king crab leg, then make crab cakes. Looks mighty tasty. We had some homemade beef and barley soup, along with a pile of 10 count shrimpies. Now I'm full as a tick!

Very Nice Patrice !! It's great to share recipes....and thanks for the shout out. They are probably not on the healthy list...but they sure taste good. Quick and easy to whip up too.

Elk, it is not possible to overdue garlic. After a few years of use you will begin covet its taste and begin to grow it yourself.

Haha, I agree with you Zim but this wasn't the good home grown type but the cheap factory bottled stuff. Real garlic is a beautiful thing

Thanks, Bruce! That sounds yummy! Love a pot pie!

Thank you, Moosey! Pizza is always good by me, but if you could have driven a little further, we could have filled you up here!

A fantastic classic, Jags! A favorite of mine since I was a little kid.

Thank you, Sharon! I hope he is!

That's cool, Elktrack! I'd love the extra garlic too! Thanks!

HA! Thank you, Hrdtoflw! Now, tell me about those 10 count shrimpies! Those are some fat boys!

Aaaah, Nessy! And thank you for the great idea! grin

Why thank you, TDHP!

I'll bet they were, Gary! All good stuff!

Thank you, Darwin! "Fajidoes" is the perfect spelling and they look great! Congrats on the hunt and thanks for the photo!

More pot pie, Gutthooked! Life sure is good around here!

Thanks, Rags! Your supper is special - good old-fashioned home cooking - the best anyone could ask for!

Sorry I didn't get a pic of mine since I gobbled it up after a long day of coaching wrestlers in a youth tournament. But I had a fried spam single on a hamburger bun spread with a hint of cranberry mustard. Delicacy.
