Those toes In those shots are way to long to be mink or fisher. But snow has a way of distorting tracks.

Without actually physically seeing the tracks I'm going to agree with those that said coon. MnMan's are obviously fisher.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, don't fishers have fur between their toes that show up in the track?? Coon don't. Full disclosure, I've never seen a real fisher track in person but if they're basically a big mink track...

The fisher tracks I've seen the gait patterns reminded me of a large mink.
With the US so divided, I'm just glad to be on the side that believes in God, has the most guns, and knows which restroom to use.

Why not put a few traps in and find out?
Thought I was a good trapper until I started trapping coyotes...... Thought I was a good bowhunter until I targeted mature bucks....

I will bet $12,000 that those are raccoon tracks, and another $3,000 that it is a male looking for a suitable mate. That offset/paired pattern is their going-from-point-A-to-point-B gate. Raccoons also hold their toes tight together in snow and avoid making contact with their heels. The dead giveaway for me was the last pic of the monkey finger toes. I agree Carl 100%.

They were coon tracks. Had video but my cold fat fingers deleted it. It was just scampering along on the ice going to the open water looking for crawfish I assume.

They do NOT look like fisher tracks to me, much more like a mink. Male mink at this time of year are running all over for breeding. Those tracks are too small and too close together. We both looked at the gait of the prints....and came to that conclusion....and failed to look at the last pic....

It would take a huge mink to leave a 11/2 to 2 Inch track. I just skinned one of those red river mink I caught In ND and it's foot pad Isn't any bigger then a dime. Maybe spread out It might be nickel size.
