Thinking about a vacation this August. May bring the longbow and hunt blacktails, but probably not. Would do a little fishing, but with the wife and teenage daughter along, wonder what kind of sightseeing there is. Possibly could trade some info, place to stay, boat use in exchange for a the same on an antelope trip in MT. Not officially guiding, but taking someone along where I've hunted antelope in the past.

Just curious why you're visiting POW? Not that there's anything wrong with the second or third largest island in the USA, I can find a lot of things to do there, but unless the women in your family are the outdoors type they might not be too excited about the place.

I was going there to in August with my wife.
Decided to go to Soldotna instead.
Figured we can find lots to do there to keep both of us happy.

Lots of places more family vacation oriented than POW.

Send her on a shopping spree in downtown Klawock.

Headed to Klawock ( POW) for salmon the first week in July. Southeast Retreat is where we are staying. Great hosts, Jeff and Kelly Larson. We rent an efficiency apartment, comes with a suburban. I know the black tail hunting is real good. Lots of wolves and black bear eating them up...
