[quote=Abu65]I am curious now to what her husbands story is. She probably doesn't know. [/quote

I did ask her if he was involved in any conflicts and she said: no he was of the age that he was between the wars

I didn't ask for more details

Hang onto all those knives till you can get an idea of what they are worth. You found a real gem in the folding bayonet!

Most gun shows will have a number of knife collectors, don't accept the first offers.

The folding bayonet appears to be the type 2 M1938 -Italy, as stated. One refrench described them as abundant in military surplus stores.

Does the "thompson" have any other markings anywhere on the blade or hilt? It seems odd to me that a US bayonet would have this type of scabbard around 1921.

I have several bayonet books, I cannot find one marked Thompson. Nor did I find it on world bayonets

What markings does the military knife have (on left). It does look like a KaBar.

The m93 folder I found on a couple of sites from 295 - 1295. It is to a sub machine gun, but as I researched he one for the Thompson I read many comments that "why would anyone make a bayonet for a sub machine gun"

When I get up and around I will get some up close pictures

Put the " Thompson " under a really bright light. It's a Simpson Suhl WWI bayonet. So I guess based on the picture of the tommy, that 1928 version that had all of the add-ons. ie; bayonet, bi-pod, .45 Remington ect. They just put the WWI bayonet on, as all pictures I found it is the exact same bayonet

The internet is just full of info if you go deep enough

The English dagger is a Sheffield.

The fighting knife I believe is a Kbar but it has been " cleaned up " looks like someone took a wire wheel to it. Really bad shape
