Not all buyers "fly across the pond". In fact, the bulk of the buyers that bid on the wolves, wolverine and other zoo animals only have to make a trip across the border.

4 of the largest wolf buyers at NAFA come Idaho, Minnesota, New York and Maine. At an average NAFA sale, when wolves are offered in the auction room, those 4 buyers will buy more than half the wolves that sell. Some times as high as 75%.

I know a buyer that drives from Montreal to Toronto just for bears and wolves. When they split the zoo, he has to spend extra time I. Toronto. And we all know times is money.

These boys have deep pockets. And they get to party.

According to the catalog It specifies the date so what's the big deal? So they can't go In the PT room at different times to check out the fur? And bid whenever the fur comes up for sale? Is spreading out the PT sale over a few days that big of a deal.
Is this a really big problem for you? Do you spend a whole lot of time buying PT wolves and skunks and wolverines. LOL
If your going let me know I want a decent black wolf.

The fur in the PT catalog is on show the entire time, just like the auction goods.

There is a deadline for turning in your sealed bid. After that deadline, the winning bids are announced/posted/invoiced.

Beav - you couldn't pay me enough to bid on anything for you!! You are good buddy buddies with the NAFA guys, have them buy a wolf for you. They will probably bring it to Madison without all the usual. F&W rigamarole.

When was the last NFA sale you attended 1995. LOl
You know I would never ever ask you to do that. In fact I wouldn't ask anyone to do that. It would be asking way to much.

So I'll have to get one from one of my Alaskan contacts this summer. I want to pick It out myself.

1995 was my glory year at NAFA. I bought 298 wolves. 40% of the wolf offering.

The last sale I was physically at was 2013.

My checkbook is at every sale. smile

I hear that a lot of the Chinese buyers are buying over the internet instead of going to these sales anymore.

Also heard there aren’t a lot of Russians at this sale.
