What did you use for a spring? I think that style would work good in the chicken house.

Springs are electric fence and the loop is craft wire.
I'm making big ones for the chicken house. And I'm making a safety to hold the spring in place while the string is being tied

You talking about high tinsel wire? That's the first thing I thought about when I watched the movie. Good catch.

Thank you. I was thinking high tensile wire, but wasn't sure about it. Inch and a quarter hole?

I need that for a feed lot down the road to make mouse bait for K-9 trapping! LOL Better then taping snap traps on laths to stick in holes.

Law Dog that's my plan. I'm also making them stronger with a #2 helper spring for mink next year. Cut a PC of fire wood length wise down the middle. Cut side to the ground, make a 21/2" hole all the way Thur. Set both ends.

Someone posted it on here last week I think it was. Not sure if it was or not, but it should be put in the archives.

Remember as a kid we played army and you gave up the fort so the other side got it? Of course you don't. Little kids aren't that stupid.

I'm thinking a smaller "bait hole" on the top drilled into the middle! A Cheese Wiz size hole? LOL

So I'm guessing the bait goes behind the string?

Yep, leave it to trappers!

There's always a better, bigger, more efficient trap!
