The Palo Duro Canyon State Park is a very small portion of the Palo Duro Canyon. The state park doesn’t allow trapping and the rest of the canyon is owned by a handful of large ranchers

Mitchell Simpson is a great host and one of the best resources of trapping knowledge I know. He, and the others are a breed of their own. No price you can afford would be too much for this opportunity. I enjoyed my time there and hope to make it back someday soon.

I was just curious how the trappers from different states would do lisences, I have trap in texas as a non resident and lisence is over $300. Coyotes are free but bobs and foxes no.

Since the school is covering predators, main focus being bobcats and coyotes which are not considered furbearers in Texas, you only need a 5 day special hunting liscense, not a trapping liscense. It costs about $50.

Coyotes and bobcats are not fur bears in Texas. You can buy a 5 day small game license for $48 dollars.

Yes, sir, Yes sir. I was going to wear one till I saw how windy it is there. Besides, I needed to keep the man pretty to a minimum. Lol.

Lol.

I'll tell you what, each class had its own personality but we're fantastic. It was an honor to meet such fantastic Americans. Mitchell, you're one of the best men I know and your knowledge and hospitality is unmatched. Im proud to call you friend. You're welcome to my Montana home any time. I mean, you can visit me here in California if you like but I don't think you want to do that.

Mitchell is top notch, been a great friend to me and has helped me succeed at trapping more than anyone on this planet, one of my favorite people and someone I respect immensely grin

Wayne, Gary, Andy, John and Dana would fall into that group as well, as would all the students in my class. Was one of the best times I ever had. Ate too much, learned too much, made too many friends laugh

Top notch group, 1st class all the way, if you get a chance to go, you won't regret it grin

Lol forget you. I seen that big feller run down a wild hog! Well I say I seen it, really all I seen was a dust trail. The only defense against John Nolan is the fetal position lol

It was all fun and games till she turned on me. I know when to quit. Chased her and that finger licking piglet up a hill, down into a draw, over a 8 foot cliff, up another draw, and when I went to go up hill again, she turned. I said "phew, you win." It was only 3/4 mile total but well worth the PT. Glad I didn't have to hurt that sow. Lol. I was within 5 feet of them most the time and kept thinking of what sauce in was gonna use.

I would of went along for the run (or at least tried) but I had just showered, and I am pretty sure that the big marine would have put off just as much if not more dirt than one of the buggies lol+

Sauce? Well Petey's PORK and poultry chipolte of coourse!

Michael, I could have used some backup. Then I Definitely would've gone in on that sow. She would have cooked up just as nicely as her little bacon seed.

I've never had homemade sauce like this, Petey. You need to go find Aunt Jemima, Col Sanders, and Betty Crock Pot and slap them silly.
