I was thinking about trying drags next year for coyote. Im only setting up 1 trap (either duke #4 or duke #2 square jaw) with 10ft of chain and a FB Saber-Tooth Drag. What i cannot decide is the #4 duke or the #2 square jaw duke.

If you have both already I'd go with the #4. I ran the same chain set a few yrs. ago. My trap was a Vic 3N. And it worked.

I think ill go with the bridger #3 because it costs about the same as the duke after putting a baseplate and welding on it

Now all you need to do is decide on dogless or dog on.

I have not tried the dogless but have a buddy that loves them.I don`t like messing with screws to keep pan tension where I like it.I use the duke #4 with the Paws I Trip pans on them.

I do not see the need to base plate but I do laminate the jaws with 1/4 inch round rod.

I would base plate, that frame looks weak on them, and use 1/4"round rod lamination
