Burying it just taints it at a more constant temp. Outside the elements speed up the process. LIVE LIFE LIKE THEIR IS NO TOMMORROW

If you get a chance to pick up a cheap one its worth doing. some people like a slower taint and will taint underground (or in a fridg) some people like them for aging. after you mix something up the odor will change some over time. aging in a nice cool constant temp of a fridge gives you more control over that and makes it easier to reproduce a scent sometimes. Running a indoor/outdoor thermometer BACKWARDS....so the sensor is INSIDE the fridge.....so you can read the temp without opening the door. I also have a dead freezer with a light bulb for slight heat set up the same way....this idea is from 1 of Nick Wyshinskis books. Tainting is letting animal material break down to a desired odor or texture. Ageing is letting a formulation blend together until all the odors have come together for the desired end result.
