I finally have pictures of the rare Cinnamon raccoon. My wife had to retake them with her phone to get the right format. These are before we skinned it out for a lifesize mount. My wife is so excited, the trapper who brought it in just wanted a tanned hanging fur. My wife wanted it to lifesize, she could not see having it just a hanging pelt. She ended up getting it purchased from the trapper. It took a couple of weeks. Her and her mom are so excited. My wife skinned it and fleshed it. She did let me flesh out the face and ears though. She then put it in the salt box to dry. She can not wait till it is ready to ship to the tannery. She even has her form picked out to mount it on.

I was going have a life size mount done until I found out it was going to be ...........$500. No kidding! That didn't happen.

A true cinnamon Coon! Definitely rare. I don't know how many thousands of coons I've had my hands on. But only one cinnamon one, I have caught, and that I had tanned and is hanging on my wall.

Nice coon! I have trapped 53 years, I have caught 1! It is mounted on the wall-sure looks neat. I was told that they are NOT RARE here!

I haven't caught all that many coon but have caught 3 or 4 cinnamons. Must be more common out here.

Caught my one and only blonde in 2015. Funny thing is that I caught it next to a cemetery and the neighbor that takes care of the property thought it was someone's soul reincarnated.

Have it hanging on my man cave wall now.

Forever in debt to my Father who introduced me to trapping.
May I be half the man he was.

Caught one in February and on the way out I showed it to the landowner, he said his son in law thought he saw a "red" raccoon during deer hunting. Landowner told son in law he was nuts.....
That was my third one in twentysome years, the other two and a "fisher" coon I caught are wall hangers at a friends cabin.
Two stops later I had another cinnamon coon.
Both are still in my freezer, whole and intact.
Anybody interested in 'em?
