Anyone see the new Leupold VX Freedom rifle scopes yet. Don't know if they're as good as the VX 2s I might just throw a VX 3 on what are your recommendations

I havent played with any freedom series yet. But i do know the Mark AR series scopes are reasonably priced and i have been quite pleased with mine. I have fairly good confidence that if leupold puts their name on it, it will work properly. But you do get what you pay for with optics.

Don't know anything about that line of scopes but the model 70's always remind me of that George Jones song ' long and lean, every young man's dream'. Love a model 70. I've got a 7mm in a Ruger #1 and so far that caliber has impressed me.

Not as bad as I could be, not as good as I should be.

Hope you like it! I'm currently saving my pennies for a Model 70 Featherweight in .264 Win Mag. Came in to some ammo on the cheap, so now I need the rifle to go with it...

Just livin' the dream...and paying full price for it!

Leopld just warned of Chinese knock offs on the Internet. Think I saw it here.

Wasnt the Corvette song by Merle Haggard? Long and lean, every young mans dream. Just not sure but I think Merle did it.

It’s hard to go wrong with Leupold. I have several Leupold on some stout guns and they do not waver. 870 12 gauge 3.5” Leupold shotgun scope, Armalite AR50 50 bmg Leupold Mark 4, 8mm Rem Mag. Leupold VXL, TC 45/70 Leupold Vx2, TC encore 50 cal muzzleloader Leupold VX2. I went down the Vortex path with a 458 Socom. Great customer service, but the problem was I had to use customer service for 3 Vortex failures so I replaced it with a Leupold Mark AR. Problem solved.

If your going for longer distance precision shooting or need the extra coatings for low light hunting go vx-3. If not then I'm sure the 2 would be fine. Both good scopes with lifetime warranty.

I have several IIs and IIIs. No problems. One II seems to have a finer reticle. Bought it used through the mail many years ago.
