Just how poisonous are these critters? Saw my first one today since I moved to Idaho from back east. I took a shower with it and didn’t notice it in the bathtub until I finished. Apparently, they are poor climbers on smooth surfaces but on flat surfaces can run 3 feet per second. That is fast! I heard they come up the drain into bathtubs. My sister-in-law gets one or so per year in her tub. I will definitely look into the tub before I step into it again. A number of years ago, my brother got bit by one on his calf and he had a red lesion almost the size of a hand palm. He had to get antibiotics.

Venomous. But not crazy so. Rather not get bit by one , but not life altering .

My oldest was bitten when she was 5 or 6. There venom is flesh eating and made quite a divot before we got it under control. It is painful but not life altering.
