Pond grass management. Triploids are safe to put in ponds...assuming they are triploid(if not someone's gonna be in trouble) as those look to be asian carp.

Those indeed look to be Asian carp... seriously bad news to be selling to the public... or anyone for that matter.

I tried telling them they shouldn't be selling 'em. I felt like they blew me off. 'Course the website says their 2 Wi stores aren't selling them this year. I feel sorry for the Iowa folks though (this store is based in Iowa). Anyone putting these in their pond is making a big mistake in my opinion. Great store, but drives me crazy they sell these devils.

Bold letters at this link say Harrison Fishery Grass Carp- at http://harrisonfishery.com/stockingConsiderations.htm it says that white amur do not reproduce in ponds nor lakes. As far as I have been able to determine all carp originate in Asia, although we got our common carp by way of Germany. If it is legal and there is money to be made some one will do it.
