I've been told that utvs don't come with titles in Mo so you don't pay sales tax. If it was an atv you would pay sales tax. What's your experience with this?

I believe that's correct. Bought an atv in August and did have to pay the sales tax, but I recall the lady saying something about no tax on UTV. Call your license bureau. Missouri is a more tax friendly state on these - Kansas hammers you on taxes and forces you to pay at time of purchase, so be careful where you buy it. just my 2 cents. Hope it helps.

Ya I bought it in IA and didn't have to pay sales tax on it through the dealer. Just don't want to get myself in a mess lol. So then do I pay yearly personal property tax on it

I just got a new Kubota UTV here at work and it came with a title. I don't plan on driving it on public roads so won't file the title. My own atv has a title, but again, never filed and I don't drive it on roads - farm use.

My John Deere Gator came with a title.
