Kart29 OP trapper Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 2,351 Hancock Co., Indiana	Design and finish aren't perfect. Last knife I made had too large of a handle and the blade was too short and blunt at the tip. I overcompensated. This one's handle is a bit too small and the blade is a little too long and pointy. But... the steel is outstanding. A-2 tool steel, triple drawn and double cryogenically treated. Perhaps a touch on the hard side for a knife blade, but it doesn't easily roll the edge, that's for sure. Seems to be a pretty good cutter although I haven't had a chance to use it much. What from Christ that soul can sever, Bound by everlasting bands? None shall take thee From the Strength of Israel's hands.

I have about $15 dollars invested in materials but used about $325,000 worth of equipment to make it. My personal investment was mostly just the time. Nobody would pay what the knife is worth to me. The most valuable thing about it will be the joy of giving it away to someone else one day. I hope it will mean something to my sons or future grandsons someday. That will be priceless. Hope I don't lose it the briars like I did that other knife I made. What from Christ that soul can sever, Bound by everlasting bands? None shall take thee From the Strength of Israel's hands.
