I use some eneloop rechargeable's with my ansmann energy 8 plus smart charger but it needs 110. I could do one at a time with the portable solar panel with the olight and still use the other usb on the solar panel for something else. Plus I have a flashlight that takes 18650's and my charger for that is also 110, my ansmann will do 8-aa, 8-aaa, 4-c, 4-d and 2-9 volt but not the other non standard batteries....... I will be getting one also......9.99 with free shipping on ebay.
Adorama has that ansmann charger on sale for 19.99 on ebay.
You can use aa rechargables for d and c if you get adapters.....one aa, two aa and three aa adapters are available for d size, not sure about c size as I do not use those much at all.

They claim up to 2000 charges and 80% life after one year on the shelf. A smart charger does a scan and then does what the battery needs so it extends the lifetime.
If the battery needs to be drained and then recharged it does it automatically. They also make chargers that you can select what happens.
LSD batteries indicate rechargeables that have low self discharge when not in use....they make some that have a higher mah but they discharge faster when not in use.
Actually they make a few different mah rechargables for each type..

Marty, I feel like Jack Nicholson when he played the joker in batman when he said, ( where does he get all those wonderful toys). Lol A couple dozen rechargeable aa and aaa and some c and d converters plus a way to charge those from a small portable solar panel can come in pretty handy. I have a Goal Zero guide 10 battery pack that will recharge 4 aa or 4 aaa from a 15 watt portable solar panel in 3-5 hours. It also has a usb output so I can power/charge anything usb from those recharged batteries. Plus I can load alkaline batteries in it and drain them to power up/recharge anything via a usb. I need to rig up a usb line to a charge controller so I can connect to a portable solar panel and charge a lawnmower battery from the solar...then I can get 110 via an inverter from the lawn mower battery or use the lawn mower battery to charge other 12 volt items.. All this stuff is relatively inexpensive when you consider what it can do for you in a power down or off grid situation.
