You guys have to call me beaver slayer now. Looks like a RM trapper checked my trap and took the tail before I got to it. My guess is the RM sent their trapper to get these beavers, but I got them first! He must have taken the tail and will turn it in as his catch and get paid $50. It’s ok cause the carcass is what I’m after!

Honestly, the tail was clean cut off. RM trappers bring the tail in to get paid as proof as they caught a beaver.

I had a beaver (in a 330 - trapped in my own back yard) that was able to rise above the waterline & was very much alive and it emerged & hit the setters so hard that I thought it would bend them. Lesson I learned was, they're tough & teeth are dangerous. If your in their territory, be vigelant. Got a scar to remind you of that?

No - It hit the setters. Would hate to have a direct strike to a body part!

I could prob go to the RM and tell them their trapper is stealing tails and getting paid for beavers he isn’t catching. Not worth the hassle for me, I hardly have time to trap the beavers, never mind making complaints. The tails are worthless to me cause I can’t sell them to the RM. Only the trapper they have hired has that market.

That the are the RM and why do they hire adc trappers...?
You have to remember that many of us in the states don't know all the Canadian slang for stuff, such as your "hydro bill". I thought you were talking about a water bill until one of the Minnesotans said your were talking about your electricity, which I guess in a lot of Canada comes from water power. I live less than 400 miles from Canada and never knew you guys call northern pike "jacks" until I started talking to you all on outdoor forums. I don't think South Dakotans (maybe we're not very imaginative) don't have much for slang words except maybe that we call our state police out on the highways, "hypos" ... LOL! RM stands for Rural Municipality. I believe you guys call them ‘counties’. The RM has a beaver trapper to trap any beaver causing problems for them. Most problems are plugged culverts in ditches.

Listening to alanis morisette is like listening to two alleycats scrapping. Boco, you have no taste whatsoever. Probably Dueling Banjos is your mating call music up in da bush, Eh? Nothing wrong with Alanis Morrisette......just a Little different. w
