I'm headed up to Maine today until Sunday. Flying into Bangor, staying in Penobscot. Any good trapping or fur places I should swing by? Wouldn't mind making a drive to see a friendly t-man members summer fur shed neither.

I usually don't promote anti-trapping/hunting business like them BUT we got Autumn, a full length, $220 goose down coat marked down to $48 as well as other stuff that 1 day we were there. Bought bout $1000 worth for $220 if I 'member correctly.

Searsport is to your west, where I got a 1.5 lb lobster with corn on the cob, slaw, and a beer for $4.99.....back in 1980!

Oscar Cronk shop is in Wiscasset but that is quite a ways SW from Penobscot.

To my knowledge there isnt really any trap supply type places. If you are in Old Town, the Old Town Trading Post was a hang-out for me and my buddies while in college. Small store, but lots of nice used guns there to look at.

Make sure you eat at Governor's. Its a golden rule.

maine millatary is in holden on rt 1a. They have some trapping supplys there mostly duke and sometimes some used gear there.I am 80 miles east of there.

Don't know any trapping supply places up that way. Some excellent bass fishing if you like that sort of thing. Great country.
