Not as good as yours. Started late, but we have a longer growing season. Just a small garden I made out of old igloo coolers(red-neck refurbishing). portable and environmentally friendly. Sarge

Tomatoes are finally coming on strong, cucumbers running out my ears, pepper plants bigger than I've seen. Corn is head high, and looks like it will be ready in a couple weeks... ears are filling out now. Beans are in full bloom, and there are some small beans just starting on them. Melons.... meh.

Late planting here, but the raspberries are about to come thick....in the next week or so. About the same here. Looks like I may have a bummper crop of raspberries this year. Beans are starting to blume, pickles are struggling but my potatoes are doing great. Recent stoms have been hard on my corn but it looks like it's recovering.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

I got planted late too. Well after Good Friday but we've had good rains. I had deer trouble last year so put up some solar sidewalk lights from Dollar General. No problems so far. I think it's working.

First year growing things vertical cukes and beans are 4 feet up the cattle panels but nothing to pick. Beets are doing well and tomatoes look good but nothing even close to pick yet.

I'm really late this year. Usually start seeds in the basement around the third week of February and put plants in the ground around late April/early May. Heart thingie got me on Feb 17. Between the rain and 90 plus temps I didn't put in the first plants (mater and some eggplant) until Early June. It took me almost three weeks to get everything out of my little greenhouse and in to the garden. Been in the 90's for 9 days now - a little cooler today - so have been pumping water from the brook every day. I did pick 4 pickler cukes yesterday and found a yellow squash about 7 inches long. Maters have fruit on them. Burpee's 4th-of-Julys may be 4th-of-Septembers this year. Some peppers took early but it's been way too hot for their blossoms to set. They'll be late I guess. Cukes, squash and zukes are loaded with blossoms.

I have two, one in lighter soil in my yard that I planted potatoes, onions, peas, early radishes, spinach and lettuce. The spuds look to be doing very well. I will dig my first hills of early Norlands later today. Strawberry yields were low this year but flavor was good. The later garden is on clay soil 6 miles away much closer to the big lake and thus warms slowly. Really good early broccoli crop so far with my tomatoes, squash, corn, carrots, vine plants and dill over there along with the peppers.
Early garden was planted early May (late for us) and the later garden about May 24th with some replanting in June.

Today I gave the tomatoes a shot of fungonil to curb septoria leaf spot and other fungal pathogens, fertilized the tomatoes and onions, and attempted to make my garden look like someone cares. I'll finish with the watering of the tomatoes with the Miracle grow wand. They are already bedded in soil heavily fortified with cow manure.
I'll do a first picking of raspberries today too.

I just took them pics a few minutes ago and it's getting dark. That soil is heavily fortified with rotted black cow manure, and miracle grow. I suppose it's giving off some radiation of sorts, lol.

Nice gardens guys!
This year I had no chance for a garden. Wife was having heart attacks and procedures.
So, my garden is 3 tomato plants in planters on the porch. Picked the first two tomatoes today. I hope Wifey enjoys them.
Do any of you guys grow little tiny things that look like tiny watermelons? Last year a guy gave us about a dozen. They were interesting and tasty. What are they?

I used to grow some Sugar Baby watermelons up here, and they would grow best if I planted them and cantaloupe right through black plastic on top of the garden. I had a wheel barrow of watermelon, and all the cantaloupe came ripe on about the same day.
I could have hot Hungarian peppers in my eggs at breakfast, but I'll use the first ones in a batch of refrigerator pickles in about 10 days as cukes are coming nicely and I've eaten a couple.

Just eating the last of the tomatoes. The sweet potatoes are doing pretty good and the herbs are fine to. I think its to warm here for brussel sprouts. they don't do to well. Not bad going though for growing stuff on a boat

Les - I am familiar with the sugar baby watermelons. They are great.
The guy last year grew these things that were the size of a large grape and looked like a tiny watermelon. Wife said they were tasty. The entire berry is edible.

Green beans are done. Canned about 30 pints and 12 quarts. Eating tomatoes and cucumbers. Canning them too. Potatoes are looking great. Dug one hill and made it into potato salad. Onions are coming along. Sweet potatoes will take awhile...they take their sweet time.

Not a green bean fan, the only way I eat them is very young, raw right off the plant.

Picking zucchinis now. Cherry tomatoes just got going, will have "regular" tomatoes in a week or so I think.
Jalapenos are just really getting going now and looks to be a bumper crop. As usual, my sweet pepper yields are not what they should be... haven't figured that out yet.
Giant pumpkins are going like gangbusters and I expect to have at least one over 100 lbs.
Next year, I'll have plastic on the hoop house and things should be quite accelerated as far as peppers and tomatoes.
Just happy to be here.

We were very dry from early May until late June. We have had a tad over 9 inches over the last 9-10 days so water is not an issue now. Early crops like lettuce, peas, radishes, spinach etc. did poorly with hot and dry weather. Now all is really growing, so later peas, beans, zuccs, cucs, brocolli etc. are doing very well. Corn is setting ears, tomatoes have double in size the last two weeks and peppers are growing well. The April blizzard really hurt our strawberries, raspberries and asparagus. All are about off over 50% with a lot of plants totally lost.
